Text in style with the LG GW300!

lg-gw300LG has finally jumped on the bandwagon of mimicking Blackberry like devices with the launch of the LG GW300 . The candy bar handset features a full QWERTY keyboard right below the screen. This keyboard is very user friendly, as the keys on it are large and well apart from each other. Most of the intricate details of this phone have been kept undercover, though speculation surrounding this device emphasizes the utility of the LG GW300 as a messaging tool.

One of the biggest drawbacks to this phone is its 2.4 inch TFT display. Images when displayed on it are not very clear and appear to be quite dull and blurry. Even the main menu seems to be a bit cluttered as the icons are very close to each other. Web pages are clear enough as long as there are no intricate images in the website. Anyway, web browsing is pretty efficient and simple thanks to the built in web browser, email client, and shortcuts to access social networking sites, such as Facebook. Media features include a camera, media player and an FM radio. The 2 MP camera is quite disappointing, as the photos captured even in well lit places turn out to be quite blurry. The media player is pretty decent as you can play a range of media formats on it. Expanding the memory of the LG GW300 to store your additional media is possible using the microSD memory card slot. Transferring files to the LG GW300 can be done using the Bluetooth chip that is built in the phone. The 3.5 mm headphone socket on the spine of the phone allows you to use your favorite pair of headphones instead of being forced to use the awful ones that usually come coupled with the phone.
