LG GW300
Blackberry phones have a good reputation with the market for being the leader in smartphones, incorporating a very unique design. Nokia and Samsung have also released similar phones to compete with Blackberry and now, LG has officially entered the club with the LG GW300. A large proportion of the details of the phone has not been released as of yet, though the inclusion of the full – QWERTY keyboard means that the LG GW300 is set to be mainly a social network – centric phone.
The main highlights of the phone are the email client, web browser and fast access to Facebook. From the information that has been released about the phone, it can be said that the LG GW300 is a mid – range phone with a good set of looks. A 2.4 inch screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels is quite enough to cater to the surfing needs of users. This GSM phone comes with EDGE and GPRS connectivity, but no 3G or HSDPA support, which is quite disappointing.
Samsung and Nokia incorporate a large number of high – end features in their smartphones, including navigational features. However, LG have largely disappointed everyone with the low level of features in the phone. The absence of Wi-Fi as well as GPS has also doused some of the enthusiasm of the LG fans. Bluetooth is also present to transfer data between phones. The media options of the phone include the FM radio, the 3.5 mm headset jack and an advanced multimedia player. There is a 2 megapixel camera present in the phone. The microSD memory card slot can be used to expand the memory of the phone. LG is set to release the phone firstly in Spain. Though the LG GW300 is expected to hit UK as well, LG have not released any precise details regarding the release date.
