Get ready to be rocked with the HTC Touch2

HTC Touch2An upgrade to the HTC Touch PDA phone has finally been officially confirmed and now has a release date. It will be sold SIM – free and will be known as HTC Touch2, a move from the unofficial name of HTC Mega. It will be the first phone from the HTC labs to come ready with Windows Mobile 6.5 and also has the MyPhone app pre-installed on the phone.

The HTC Touch2 looks extremely similar to the original HTC Touch but incorporates a more rounded look on the bottom. The phone is set to be released at an initial price of 299 Pounds and the Touch 2 can be purchased SIM – free from the 12th of October onwards.

The MyPhone feature is an amazing and truly great feature from Microsoft. It enables you to store all your files and contacts online. The best part of this is that the HTC Touch 2 enables you to store them online without having to connect the phone to a computer. Access to Microsoft’s Marketplace is also possible and you can download a number of apps for your phone. The Marketplace is a direct rival to Apple’s iTunes.

The HTC Touch 2 is a really good phone for surfing the internet, the 2.8 inch TFT LCD screen really helping in this. The phone is capable of rendering the pages in such a way that it will appear on your phone as it does on the computer. The browser also has a very useful zoom feature which is situated at the bottom of the screen. The browser also has support for Flash. This means that you can surf websites such as YouTube on the phone.
