View Japanese Manga on Your Android with Gast Studios
One Manga is a very famous website for many fans of Japanese comics. The site hosts many scanned and translated pages of manga titles and it is considered to be one of the best resources of the material on the internet. Google currently ranks the site amount the top 1000 websites that receive the highest number of unique visitors –though the volume of multiple views is simply because users have click one page after the other when they are reading.
However, accessing One Manga from a mobile phone is not exactly an easy thing to do. The site was designed primarily with desktop browser usage in mind, and actually panning around the screen to scroll around a page often ends up with users pressing down and ‘turning’ to the next page.
For quite some time, fans have been clamoring for an app that would be able to access the vast manga database of the site, but still provide smart phone users with a viable user interface. The answer has finally arrived with the app from Gast Studios: the Manga Viewer.
It may seem like a simple program, but in fact, the app does plenty of very useful features –most important of which is that it actually keeps track of which manga a user has already read, making the act of actually keeping up to date very simple. The app is as expected, a paid tool. But for the amount of convenience it provides, the cost is well worth it.
The app has been updated last February and so far, there is no official word about an update that would allow the site to access 1000 Manga and One Manga; 1000M is a sister website for OM and is used for manga that contains adult oriented content ranging from nudity to violence.
